Setelah printer terinstall seperti yang telah dijelaskan pada posting sebelumnya, seharusnya printer sudah dapat digunakan sebagaimana mestinya. Namun, ketika terjadi salah cetak, dan list job printer tersebut di batalkan (cancel) ternyata si printer tersebut jadi tidak bisa digunakan untuk mencetak lagi. Sudah dicoba mulai dari mematikan dan menghidupkan kembali printer sampai reinstall driver dan add new printer, tetap tidak menyelesaikan masalah printer ngadat ini.

Anehnya, ketika printer dicoba digunakan di sistem operasi yang lain (baca: Windows™), printer langsung bisa digunakan diawali dengan signal (LED pada printer) berwarna merah dan hijau menyala secara bergantian. Setelah printer kembali disambungkan ke Ubuntu Gutsy, printer bekerja normal kembali. Namun ketika dilakukan cancel jobs atau printer karena suatu keadaan harus di restart powernya, HP LaserJet 1020 ini kembali ngadat. Pertanyaan yang muncul saat itu adalah.. Kok bisa ya?.. Haruskah selalu dipancing dengan Windows™ agar printer dapat kembali normal?..

Solusi
Usut punya usut setelah menghabiskan waktu lebih dari 1 jam, ketemulah link ini. Kemudian langkah ini yang dilakukan:
